Medical Applications

The Rollomatic 6-axis machine systems provide versatility for complete manufacturing of medical tools, ranging from burs and drills to bone saws, reamers and taps. We also feature a machine purely dedicated to notch grinding of the quick-disconnect features on medical instruments. The possibilities for medical instruments, cutting tools and components have vastly expanded with:

• added support for grinding long and thin drills and components
• a workhead suitable for plunge and cylindrical grinding
• a magazine loader for long medical parts up to 16" in OAL
• Custom-designed software - for short-batch production, complicated geometries and non-standard applications, including bur software.

For added productivity, Rollomatic also builds single-purpose grinding machines. The 246F production grinder has specific features suitable for drills, reamers and implants (pins) for flute, OD relief and end grinding, and the CNC235NM for notch grinding, plunge, face chamfer and cut-off.
