Clamping Systems and Robot Handling
Clamping Systems:
The clamping systems are designed to emulate the way that the insert is finally held in its own tool holder, enhancing the grinding accuracy. It also allows optimal and free access to the grinding wheels. For maximum flexibility, the individually-designed systems are interchangeable and available for indexable, non-indexable and replaceable inserts, threading and form inserts, grooving inserts, drilling and milling tip insert and other nonround tools.
Robot Handling:
The 620Xi has a capacity of 10 standard cassettes with the stacker magazine or 4 standard cassettes with the rotary tray table. An intermediate parts transfer station is located in the robot bay and linked with the Fanuc robot. The finished parts are automatically cleaned during the unloading sequence before being placed back into the cassettes. The Rollomatic handling system can handle inserts with I.C. diameter as small as 3.9 mm (0.153") up to non-indexables with 50 mm (2") width.
