P4Smart® is an off-line programming and simulation software for generating the profile to be ground. The software automatically produces the grinding path for the roughing as well as for the finishing pass. Multi-pass operations can be easily programmed for maximum flexibility.
P4Smart® is a highly operator-friendly system which can be learned and utilized very quickly. The software also allows you to import DXF files for use in generating the grinding path for the wheels. Convenient drop-down menus allow you to edit program text and graphically check the movement of both grinding wheels during machining.
This ability to edit the program, feature-by-feature, allows the operator to dial-in dimensions during setup, and to make adjustments to one portion of the program without affecting others.
P4Smart® Software
P4Smart is a powerful tool for quick and easy programming of the CNC100P4, CNC148P4 or ShapeSmart™ NP5 machines. The operator-friendly software architecture allows you to rapidly program complicated workpieces by defining profiles with the help of arcs and lines.
With the same wheel shape, many different workpiece profiles can be ground. Before running the program, a simulation can be generated on the screen showing the movements of each grinding wheel as well as the profile of the finished workpiece.
Some additional software advantages include:
- The capability to program and control multiple machines.
- The programs (profiles) can be easily created by using P4Smart profiles definition (lines and arcs) or by using the free programming option (machine language codes).
