VirtualGrind® Software

VirtualGrind® is the core software for the Rollomatic GrindSmart®628XS and 6000XL machines. Designed by our own team of software engineers specifically for the GrindSmart® series, VirtualGrind® is user-friendly and easy to navigate, for flexible tool design on standard or custom tools.

The software features easy navigation between the 3D tool and machine simulators, the 2-D flute, 2-D bur and taper-tool simulators. This simplifies the machine set-up and allows faster program management, setup and retrieval of previous setups.

With the ISOEasy open programming system, you can edit on the fly for rapid creation of specialty tool programs. New software enhancements include a realistic 3D simulation of the machine, as well as tool support elements that, combined with the 3DCalc tool simulator, allow collision tests and "near-zero" set-up time.

Import functions are now available for DXF files for non-standard wheel shapes and for non-standard blank shapes during 3D simulation. The export function of a complete 3D tool simulation allows STEP files to be exported into CAD programs to create tool prints. JPEG files as well as 3D viewer files can also be generated for customer approval.

This new Tool Wizard guides the user through a template with industry-standard tool data, allowing the user to modify or create new templates. This aids in rapid programming of standard tools ranging from square-end, corner radius, ballnose, tapered tools as well as drills and step drills.
