High frequency spindle

This spindle replaces the standard grinding spindle on the machine. It has the same exterior dimension as the standard spindle, and is inserted into the housing the same way. The spindle relies on an air mist lubrication system. It utilizes wheels up to 3" (80 mm) dia., and runs up to 30,000 rpm. The wheel bore is dia. 12 mm, and the minimum wheel dia. is 1" (25 mm). It can be used for special applications with small wheels, where the standard spindle speed of 7,200 rpm does not provide sufficient peripheral surface speed.
