How it works
The wheel dressing unit can be equipped with a conventional dressing wheel or a diamond roller to allow for fast in-process dressing of the wheel pack.
Details
The CNC-driven grinding wheel dressing unit includes:
- High precision EROWA quick-clamping system for fast removal and precise repositioning of the device
- A FANUC CNC servo motor to drive the dressing wheel
- A FANUC amplifier for accurate control of the rotational velocity of the dressing wheel to ensure a good dressing result, especially when applying a diamond roller
Easy to program a dressing sequence with the following features:
- ISO modules from the database to easily program the dressing movements
- If you use a CAD system to design your own grinding wheel profile - the Rollomatic VirtualGrind software can import the dxf-file and will automatically generate a program to dress the profile
Actions
- Dressing of resin bonded diamond or CBN grinding wheels with silicon carbide or aluminum oxide wheels
- Dressing of vitrified bonded (super-abrasive or conventional) grinding wheels with a diamond roller
- Wet and dry dressing possible by applying the coolant used for grinding
