Microgrind 2000XR CNC tool grinder

CNC tool grinder overview:
The Microgrind 2000XR is a fully automated 5-axis CNC Rotary Transfer Grinding Center for manufacturing micro drills, micro routers or micro endmils. This machine comes with an integrated robot loader and is equipped with a rotary transfer system, which three stations to work simultaneously. It is ideal for high volume production, with quick, simple machine setup and programming.
The Rotary Transfer System reduces cycle time by dividing the grinding process into 3 operations performed simultaneously. The control is able to manage 8 CNC axes (6 machine axes and 2 robot axes) and simultaneously interpolate 3 CNC axes. The grinding wheel shape can be calculated by using Rollomatic's FluteCalc software (optional) which provides accurate tool geometry and set-up parameters. A second control panel is located near the robot for fast and ergonomic set-up. 3 tool clamping and 2 tool support systems are integrated into the rotary transfer system.

The MicroGrind 2000XR tool grinder provides the lowest cycle time obtainable for the manufacturing of routers up to dia. 3.175mm (1/8"). The CNC control is easy to operate and allows advanced features such as chip breaker, cross-cuts, fishtail or drill point. Using the FluteCalc software (optional), the router geometry can be precisely designed by entering parameters like number of flutes, flute depth and rake angle. A wheel with a simple angle can be use. The program then calculates the necessary parameters for wheel dressing and machine setup.
- Grinding range from Ø 0.4 - 3.175 mm
- Shank range from Ø 1.5 - 3.175 mm
- Overall blank length 30 - 50 mm
- Flute length 0 - 15 mm
- Helix angle 24 - 45°
- LH helix angle 15 - 95°
Station 1
The 2-axis CNC robot loads blanks and unloads finished tools. This loader includes 3 cassettes of 500 tools each, 2 of which can be filled with blanks, raising the grinding capacity to 1000 tools
Station 2
The fluting is performed by clamping the tool shank in a V-block. The V-Shank guiding system guarantees perfect concentricity of the tool. Any number of right-hand flutes can be ground.
Station3
For grinding the cross cut and end style, the shank is clamped in a high precision V-guide. The setting range for the angle of the cross-cut wheel has enough range to produce chip-breaker style and cross-cut style routers. The wheels are mounted on separate grinding spindles with the capacity for fine truing. Any number of cross-cuts can be programmed. The gashing station is simple and fast to set up
