During the event, Rollomatic launched a new peel grinder - the ShapeSmart™NP5, a new 6-axis tool grinder – the GrindSmart®628XS, as well as new software platform for high-performance endmills – VirtualGrind®Pro, and a new networking software for Rollomatic machines – NCWalker.
In addition, two recently introduced models, the GrindSmart®Nano6 grinder for ultra small rotary cutting tools and the GrindSmart®Nano5 grinder for rotary dental burs were also on display at the show.
Several existing models including the ProfileSmart™ 6-axis CNC dressing machine, the GrindSmart®620Xi insert grinder and the fully hydrostatic large tool grinder, the GrindSmart®6000XL were also being demonstrated. In addition, high tech measuring instruments, wheel balancing, wheel presetting dressing equipment was exhibited.
A total of 85 people from 17 different U.S. States and Canada attended the OpenWeek, making it very successful, both in terms of attendance and the level of interest in Rollomatic products.
This event was officially named “OpenWeek 2009” since both customers and non-customers were invited and the building was open to visitors from Monday morning through Friday afternoon. The event will be repeated again in 2011.
