Rollomatic on the EPFL campus

Located in Lausanne, Switzerland, EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale) is one of Europe’s most vibrant and cosmopolitan science and technology institutions.

Rollomatic is constantly seeking out new strengths in order to grow its divisions and develop new projects. Its goal is to increase its research capabilities and consolidate its leadership position. It’s with this goal in mind that the company set up an innovation centre at the EPFL Innovation Park.

Since then, the close partnership that has developed between EPFL’s laboratories and Rollomatic’s expert engineers has led to the successful completion of projects that require a high level of technical sophistication. In its 107m2 space in Lausanne, a ten-strong group of engineers and students work together on multiple projects and carry out research into the 4th industrial revolution, including areas such as software development, differential geometry, mechanics and laser technology, to develop new machining processes.

Rollomatic on the SIPBB campus

Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne (SIPBB) is a private Swiss non-profit organisation that performs and supports industry-focused applied research and development. It is part of the national and international network of the Switzerland Innovation Foundation.

Rollomatic has opened an innovation unit within the SIPBB in 2021 in order to get closer to the academic world and collaborate with industry-oriented applied research laboratories. We offer Bachelor’s and Master’s projects to students in various fields such as mechanics, IT and robotics.

On the other hand, for a company like Rollomatic, which invests heavily in the development of innovative solutions that enable its customers to gain in performance and autonomy, it is important to integrate research centers such as Swiss Smart Factory. This enables us to carry out concrete industrial projects and to engage in particularly enriching exchanges. Just fifteen kilometers from our head office in Le Landeron, our office at SIPBB represents a unique opportunity to make ourselves known to students from the region, both French- and German-speaking.
