How to equip your GrindSmart® for grinding taps?
The 6-axis kinematics of the GrindSmart®629XS and XW machine series makes it possible to produce a wide variety of cutting tools and is particularly suited for grinding taps. Specifically, the possibility of inclining the grinding wheel axis allows a greater freedom of tool programming and extreme flexibility in any type of geometries.
Whatever the type of taps to be produce, Rollomatic offers several options for tool clamping and reconditioning of grinding wheels:
- On-board wheel dresser
- Automatic tailstock
- Clamping on cylindrical shank
- Clamping on square-end including orientation system in the pick and place loader
